Price Bullington fait parti de ces artistes émergeant qui lancent leur projet sur les réseaux sociaux. Cela permet une diffusion rapide ainsi qu’une confrontation direct avec un public qui apprécie son travail.
J’ai tout de suite été séduit par ses productions, tant dans le concept que dans la mise en forme. À la fois épuré mais ayant leur part de complexité.
Son inspiration est tirée de sa mythologie personnelle, un univers propre à lui même qui reflète sa vision graphique d’un monde en évolution. Il s’inspire aussi de la complexité de « l’expérience humaine » dans un contexte hyper-accéléré. Mêlant son imaginaire à la réalité, il cherche à communiquer ce qui ne peut être dit par des mots. Une sensation, une émotion à l’image d’un rêve qui s’échappe au réveil.

Price ne cherche pas à imposer un point de vue au spectateur, mais plutôt à offrir de large possibilités d’interprétation dans ses visuels.
L’ensemble de son travail s’inscrit dans ce qu’il qualifie de post neo-expressionisme. Un style néo-expressioniste réadapté à l’époque en utilisant le rendu numérique.
Techniquement, c’est une combinaison de photographie, scuplture, peinture qu’il retravaille numériquement en post-production. Price développe ce concept depuis 4 ans, il a commencé à publier en ligne ces travaux en 2013 et prévoit de concrétiser le projet dans l’année.
Dans ce projet il invite le spectateur à contempler ses visuels, à avoir un regard ouvert sur ce qu’il fait, qui serai finalement comme une retranscription personnelle de sa vision du monde.
D’un point de vue esthétique, on ressent ce fort impact visuel, et cette volonté de faire passser un message, ce qui à première vue n’est bien sur pas évident à comprendre. Regarde donc les titres donnés à ces visuels.
Il traduit ces idées par des couleurs ou des textures, et ça cogne.
Un usage subtil de dégradé à la fois apaisant et calme, sublimés par d’étranges formes chromées qui implique cette notion d’infini, de magnificence et de perfection. Certaines de ces œuvres semble dégager une aurore divine.
Les nombreux partages de ces publications lui ont accordé une visibilité à grande échelle, ce qui lui procure une super motivation et un fort engouement pour continuer.
Il croit en son projet et promet que 2014 sera l’année des possibles.

Price Bullington : A divine coolness coming from the future.
Price Bullington is one of these rising artists who first throw their projects on social networks. It allows them a fast broadcasting and also to have a direct confrontation with a public that enjoys their work.
I was directly charmed by his productions. Both the concept and the shaping were great to me. On the one hand it is uncluttered and on the other hand you can spot a certain kind of complexity. He is inspired by his personal mythology, the world he built on his own that reflects his graphic vision of world in progress. He also draws his inspiration from the complexity of the human kind evolving in a high speed context. As he combines his imagination with reality, he wants to communicate ideas that cannot be transcribed with words like a feeling or a passing emotion comparatively to the transient dream that you can hardly remember when you wake up.

Price does not want to impose his point of view through his pieces, on the contrary he wants to offer a range of possibilities of interpretation.
His work fits into what he calls post neo-expressionism, the latter being adapted to our era and using a numerical process.
Technically speaking, is art is a combination of several genres : photography, sculpture and painting. It’s been four years now that Price is working on this concept. He started publishing online what he did in 2013 and planned to finish his project by the current year.
His project also involves the fact that he invites the viewer to contemplate what he does being open-minded. Concerning the aesthetic, there’s a strong visual impact which is hardly insignificant since the artist wants to convey a message that is not easy to decode I must say. You just need to look at the titles he gave to his piece which are good examples. His ideas are translated by colors and textures. Well, that’s pretty rough. Added to that, you also find a subtile use of soothing and calm shadings highlighted by strange chrome forms that imply the notion of endlessness, of beauty and perfection.
Some of his pieces seem to emanate a kind of divine dawn. The fact that he shares and publishes a lot of stuff online, enable him to access to a great visibility. Indeed, he’s also super motivated and wants to go even further. Obviously, he believes in his project and assure that the year 2014 will be the year of possibilities.
